Hedegaard encourages everybody to put pressure on COP15

As the last deed before opening COP15 tomorrow morning, the Minister for the UN Climate Summit chose to meet with representatives for 500 million people from around the world to receive their recommendations and to bring these to the political leaders. This took place at The Copenhagen Climate Summit.

No deal without the Cities

The cities of the world encourage the politicians at Bella Center to involve cities in the fight for the climate. So far cities have been far more ambitious in setting climate goals than their respective governments.

Visit the Copenhagen Climate Exchange in Øksnehallen just like a lot of people have already done on an ordinary, grey Thursday. At the fair you get the opportunity to show your personal support for a global climate agreement by sending your climate message and through creative contributions for the climate.

The Copenhagen Climate Exchange is off the ground. Minister of Development, Ulla Tørnes opened the exchange earlier today and the Minister for the UN Climate Summit COP15, Connie Hedegaard, will be at the exchange to receive the messages for the leaders of the world.

Inter religious pilgrimage guests Copenhagen Climate Exchange

The organization Collaboration and pilgrim priest in Aarhus Diocese Elisabeth Lidell has arranged an inter religious pilgrimage, that during the COP15 will walk through Copenhagen. Saturday December 5th they will come to Øksnehallen and talk about religion's role in the climate debate.

Danish climate communities meet the world

December 3rd Danish climate communities will meet with communities from all over the world. The setting will be The Copenhagen Climate Exchange, and the purpose will be to share lessons and ideas for how to reduce CO2 emissions locally.

Nature as Part of the Solution

Meet young volunteers from Togo

Since 2001 Jeunes Voluntaires pour I'Environnement (JVE)has succeeded in spreading solar energy in Togo. Now they are bringing their technology to Copenhagen. At the Copenhagen Climate Exchange they will put their solar cookers and solar lamps on display.

The Maldives will still attend The Copenhagen Climate Exchange

he Maldives will not be attending the COP15 in Copenhagen. But at The Copenhagen Climate Exchange the Maldives will be represented by a member of the President’s Council of Climate Change and by the Director of the environmental organization Bluepeace.
